Over the years I have visited schools and libraries all across Canada, in the U.S., in Scotland and even in Uganda.
Now that we’re living on Bowen Island I am not visiting as many schools, but all invitations will be considered! I usually chat with teachers and librarians beforehand, and find out what sort of presentation they would like.
Since “A Giraffe Called Geranium” came out, Illustrator Mary Baker and I have enjoyed presenting author-illustrator talks together. We discuss every step of producing a picture book. The fun bits and the more difficult bits!
I’m also happy to talk about the pros and cons of self-publishing because “A Giraffe Called Geranium” was a self published book after twelve books with conventional publishers.
